Heather Grindle has been a musician her whole life. She was born and raised in Oceanport, New Jersey. Singing in the children's choir, starting piano lessons at age 5 and voice lessons at age 12, it became clear to her at an early age that music would be the guiding light for her future. She attended University of Massachusetts - Amherst, earning a Bachelor in Music degree in Vocal Performance. After spending time exploring various opportunities as a church cantor, choir director, music specialist, piano and voice teacher, she followed her calling to further help others and earned her Music Therapy Equivalency Certificate from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. Shortly after, she became a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC).
Her husband, Craig, is a Major in the Marine Corps. Together with their two children, Llewelyn and Evan, they have traveled our country from coast to coast and around the world - living in Quantico VA, Virginia Beach VA, Jacksonville NC, Okinawa Japan, El Paso TX, and have just arrived in Oceanside CA in April 2021. As a military spouse and mother, she strives to set an example of service and care for her family and her community. Guiding others as they access their abilities and gifts through music has become a lifelong mission. Teaching music lessons to people of all ages and skill levels and becoming a music therapist has allowed her to expand how she uses music to enrich the lives of others.
